We have been trying since summer of 2007. Well trying but not trying for several months. We were not using any BC and just letting things happen. Then we started trying a few months after that with charting and tempting. So far we have had one miscarriage last summer. What is the next step? I feel stupid for asking but I am afriad my doctor is going to think I am some sort of a dork.
How many months did you not try/not prevent and how many months have you actively tried? Most doctors want you to have well timed intercourse for at least a year (also depending on your age) before starting treatment. What I would do is just bring it up to your doctor. Give them exact amount of months that you were NTNP and how many you actually tried and see where you go from there. Are you confirming O with temping, so you are sure you are Oing? Good Luck! I say who cares what your doctor may or may not think, sometimes you just have to take the bull by the horns.
Welcome to the board!!! I am Tabby(27 in 25 days), the co-host. I am married to Ryan(28) and we will be celebrating our 5th anniversary on the 17th of April. We have been trying for our first since we were married and have had two losses. I was diagnosed when I was 14 with PCOS and so my cycles aren't always on my side.
I agree with Ashley. I would just mention everything to your doctor. You may be surprised and he/she may start further treatments right away, it all depends on the doctor. You gotta take the leap eventually =) Good luck and keep us updated! Make yourself at home here!

I agree with the girls here, tell ur doc everything and also ask anything u want to know! Dont worry what ur doctor will think either im sure he/she will talk u through everything.
TTC is emotionally draining when u have been trying, or not preventing and still nothing happens,
I am so sorry for ur loss sweetie

We NTNP off and on and off. I would get frustrated and take it slow. I can't be exact unforuntely because all my charts which where on my computer are GONE from the last 3 years. Wonderful huh? I did chart the entire time though. I could never really confirm an O for certain. I have taken courses, read books and my charts never looked anything liked the ones shown and my body never really followed the map of the cycle. I never have EWCM or I never have CM that dries up. I have milky CM all the time. I never have a temp shift that other charts seem to have. I tried ovulation tests too. different brands and they always say negative and when I try a different series of days. I feel like a fool because maybe I am missing something or I am too stupid to read the signs, I don't know. I just don't want to be laughed at.
First welcome! I'm Nicole (26) married to Brian (27). We've been TTC since Jan 2007, with 2 M/Cs. Have you tried the Clearblue fertility monitor? I didn't think I was Oing either because my cycles were everywhere, but after a year with that and charting we have now discovered I O and sometimes not major Oing.... But my typical O date is between CD 18 and 24.
