Have you ever accidentally used TTC lingo with family or friends? How about with your nurses or doctor?

I have to admit that I have let it slip a lot. There have been times over the phone that I have said "AF" instead of "Mentrual Cycle" or "Period" to a nurse and I have had to correct myself when she seemed confused. There have also been times that someone has asked me how TTC is going and I have said "Well, I am on CD.. blah blah blah *insert lingo here*" and they have had a blank look on their face like I was speaking some kind of unknown language.

LOL!! I have done the same thing Tabby! I was talking to a friend and mentioned an OPK, and they were like 'huh?' I have also mentioned POAS, BD'ing, AF. You name it and I have proabably mentioned it! And I get the craziest looks too! I'll die of shock one day when someone actually knows what I am talking about! lol

I'm lucky in that my RE and his nurses actually speak TTC Lingo! I didn't even realize I was using TTC Lingo with him....or that he was using it too until Matt looked at us, cleared his throat and said "Umm, what language are you speaking?" lol I have done it with people that don't have a clue either though!

share your funniest one.

I have on a number of occasions referred to my husband as "DH" when talking about him out in the real world.. that one always gets a funny look... especially when I quickly say "oh, i mean Heath" or "oh, i mean my husband" must sound like I am cheating on him or something crazy like that
