Last week we had an "emergency" apt with the high risk OB. I had spotting 2 weeks before that turned out to be a UTI, but the placenta had also moved over my cervix. They always do an ultrasound before the Dr comes in. When we got into the room we asked the tech if she could tell us what the baby is. She told us they always try to check. She tried to get a peek first thing but baby was sitting right on my cervix, where it seems to like to be, with it's legs crossed. She started doing measurements and were on the heart when the tech got a weird look on her face and zoomed into something else. DH and I were first confused till she got it a little less blurry. She then stated "I'm 100% sure this is a little boy!" DH asked if she was sure, because he was so convinced it was a girl. She laughed and said yes. She finished the regular US and needed to do a vaginal one to check on the placenta. Well the placenta had moved and she got flashed right away. She was laughing saying that he must have wanted it known. The Dr also got a nice shot and said he was 100% sure it was a boy.
We are going to name him Cobain Ray. Ray is a family middle name on DH's family and Cobain is after Kurt Cobain. We will call him Coby for short.
