are there any cartoons you would never let your child/future child watch?

brady isn't allowed to watch spongebob. i have friends who think im the meanest mom ever for that but i just think his show is dumb & inappropriate for a child.

Not really a current cartoon watcher right now, but I agree that Spongebob is not appropriate for some ages!!

We have never allowed spongebob, either. I feel it is way to rude and insulting at times. We pretty much have the rule with DD that if it says any bad words ie. stupid, shut up, hate, dumb, ugly ( pretty much any put downs) it is not allowed. She has always had these rules, so she doesn't really know any different and doesn't mind that some shows are off limit.

Family Guy & South Park even though I love them so, they are not appropriate for a child! And whats up with Yo Gabba Gabba???? Hopefully that show is gone by the time I have a kid!

As annoying as yo gabba gabba can be, at first I wouldn't let him watch it but it really does teach him a lot! Not to bite ur friends (we had huge biting issues) to settle down & stuff other shows really don't teach. The other day he said "momma, break it down!" & started dancing. Super cute.

Another show I hate is caillou. He's so whiny & a major brat! Not a role model for my child.
