Marie, to check the follies, they do a vaginal ultrasound. Painless.

Thanks ladies!

Yes, Marie, it is not painful at all, maybe a little uncomfortable. Although, I was very surprised when I had my first one......no one told me it was going to be vaginal! Maybe shocked is more like it!

Out of everything I've ever had done to me, the checking of the follies was the easiest. I literally felt no pain from it! I promise, lol.

Is the IUI similar to the pain from an HSG? Better or worse?

Funny you should mention this Marie. The doctor today had to use a clamp to help open me up. For me this was similar to the pain I had during my hsg. It didn't last long, but it did hurt. The doctor tried without the clamp first, but apparently she needed it.

All in all, I think everything went as well as it could have!

Now all we have to do is wait.

Oooh...the waiting game. Never fun! But I do believe its easier to deal with because you know the swimmers are in the right place!

Marie, my IUI's were a bit more painful but thats because of my cervical stenosis...They never did have to clamp me though thank goodness. I had one more IUI after my laparoscopy (they fixed my cervical stenosis then) and I only had slight cramping.

Still a little sore today, so I am moving around a little slower. Definitely milking it just a little bit too!!! DH has planned to do his own laundry, vacuum the house, and (I hope) take the trash out!!! I could get used to this!!
