So the radiology technician was really nice! She saw a 2.3 cm (23mm) follicle on my left ovary, and some small ones on my right ovary but nothing big enough to measure. The doctor came in (not my doctor) and said to me that clomid is not meant for everyone, she expected to see more follicles and good luck. I was flabbergasted!!! This is my first cycle on clomid and you got a follicle out of me!!! I wasn't ovulating at all before and now I have a big follicle. I am upset about how the doctor spoke to me and confused The last I remembered in my 7th grade bio class is that it takes 1 egg and 1 sperm to make a baby!!!! Am I right???? Is that a good size??? UGH!!!!! If anyone has any words of advice I would greatly appreciate it!!!!

23mm is actually not bad!! Better than what I've seen for other women! They didn't tell you how big or small the other follies were? If the others were like under 15mm, ok, 1 follie is not that great. But you're right, it only takes one! Plus, it's the first time you take Clomid, give your body time to adjust.

What CD are you on right now? I'd say you're about to O. Get to BDing!!

The other follicles were just about 1 cm, some smaller. I am on CD11, I plan on testing with an OPK when I get home from work!!!! I hope the follicle actual ruptures and we have a chance!

I am with Marie here.......get to BDing!!! Don't know if this will make you feel any better or not, but I had 2-3 follies last month for my IUI and NONE of those made a baby! I don't know how big they were, but I plan to ask next week when I go for my follow up appointment.

Thats a great size eggy you have there. When I was on Clomid I had eggs ranging from 10mm to 26mm. My nurse wouldn't trigger me unless I had eggs that were at least 15mm. At the rate that the eggs are supposed to grow, your egg could get even bigger before it releases! You've definitely given those spermies an excellent target! Good luck!

How big can the follicle get before it's too big and the quality goes bad? It's been 5 days since my last does and no ovulation yet? I am on day 14, what is the "normal" day for ovulation on clomid?

Mine has varied since I have been on clomid. I got a BFP on the OPK usually around day 15. One time it was much, much later, but I do not believe that I ovulated at that point.

Keep testing!!!!

First cycle: CD 16
Second: CD 15
Third: CD 17
This one: CD 18

It varies, between CD 14 and 18 I'd say, but it depends on the person.

Mature follicules are about 18mm... I am not an expert but if you had a 23mm follicule at CD 11 and still haven't O'd... I have no idea what to tell you hun... Sorry. Just keep testing...

I'm also not sure how big is too big for the quality to go down. My Doc was ok with triggering me at 26 which meant that when I actually O'd I was 27 to 28mm. I'd definitely ask your Dr.
