I am trying to conceive but i am irregular any helpful tips on how to get our stuff to connect and conceive? I have not charted my temperature cause I don't know how... when does day 1 start? I think i want to start the charting this month but not sure
Hello! I am Angie (32) and we have been ttc our 1st since August of '09. We had to try on our own for a year before my doctor would do anything as far has giving us some fertility boost goes. I do not ovulate regularly so they have started me out on clomid.
Day 1 starts on the first day of your period. I do not chart as I am a light sleeper and do not sleep straight through the night. Marie, Mrs.McFadden, does charting and maybe she can help you out!
Please feel free to ask anything as these ladies here are full of knowledge! Hope your stay with us is short!

Hi there. I'm Marie, I'm 25 and we've been trying for 2 1/2 years.
Like Angie said, CD (cycle day) 1 is the first day of your period, where you get bloody discharge, not spotting (brown cervical mucus).
May I ask how long you've been trying? Have you seen an OBGYN about your issues? Your OBGYN will probably ask you to chart. Charting is very easy. I'm like Angie, I get up several times during the night but I chart anyway and my charts are fine! Except, I try not to get up at least 2-3 hours before taking my temp. All you have to do is take your temperature, either orally or vaginally, with a basal body thermometer, at the same time every morning, BEFORE you get up to do anything. And then you enter your temperature into the charting software called FertilityFriend.Com. Everyday you do that, and at the end of your cycle you'll get a nice chart and you can spot when you O'd (ovulated). That's when you temp rises significantly. You can also use OPKs (ovulation tests) to help find when you are going to ovulate.
It takes a little while to get used to but then it's really easy I've been charting since we started TTC. I am also on Clomid, 50mg because my OBGYN didn't think I O'd normally, according to my charts. Now everything is fine. But after today's IUI, it seems my problem was physical, my cervix was not positioned properly.
Good luck! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate!
