Hi All-

Who all has been doing IUI? Any success stories? I am hopefully getting my second IUI this Friday....my follies were not quite there yet for an IUI tomorrow as planned.

The doc took a bunch of blood and will be testing for various things....

He told me we would do IUI 3-4 times total then its time for Plan B. Not sure what plan B is yet but of course IVF comes to mind?

What are your experiences with this???

Hey there! I've had for IUI's. Not one of them worked for me. We did IUI with Clomid. My Dr didn't feel that injectibles would give us a different outcome so plan B for us is IVF. I hope you don't even have to worry about a plan B. Good luck!

My dr's plan b (which we cannot afford) is injectibles + IUI. Our plan b is adoption.

I had my 1st IUI in February and it did not work. We are taking off the month of March due to my busy work schedule. We will try another IUI in April. My doctor said that we would try 3 IUI's and if they didn't work we would be referred on to a RE. I know that RE's know a lot more about infertility than my regular OBGYN, so they maybe have some other things (drugs) that might work and yes, IVF.

I had my first IUI with Clomid through my ob/gyn, which failed. I just had my 2nd IUI with Femara + trigger through my RE (who I love!), and I feel a lot more positive about it. We'll do about 3-4 of these rounds, and if they fail, our plan B is to start injectibles + IUI. DH and I aren't in the mental or financial state to start IVF yet, so we're trying to drag this out as long as possible.

I am going back on Monday for the 3rd follie check...the last 2 the follies were not big enough.

Now I have 2 that are at a 10 and they need to be 18-20 in order to get the trigger shot....so we will see what Monday brings us!

If not then I may take the month off as well....

Its really stressful going through this with no outcome...

Maybe I will want to go to a RE to see if there are any more thoughts!

I am going in for my very first IUI tomorrow morning! For me, mr Dr wants us to try IUI with injectables for 2 cycles max and if we didn't have any success with that, we will be doing IVF.

No IUI last week....

But I think we figured out whats happening!

....... been doing clomid since December. I had 2 rounds that were responsive one of those with an IUI and no success. The strange thing is about 4-5 days after the IUI I was feeling ovulation twangs.... hmmmm

This last round of clomid I went to the doc 3 times for follicle scan and there was really no action.

On day 22 of my cycle which was last wednesday I decided to take a OV test because I felt something and thought what the heck... The OV test showed that I was having a surge!

I went to the doc the next day and he saw one good follicle and most likly was ovulating that day.

So I have this odd feeling that after the IUI the trigger shot didnt work and what I felt was in fact late ovulation twangs thus missing the opportunity for that IUI to work.

I am so irregular after getting off the pill over a year ago i guess anything is possible...

My hubby and I tried the old fashion way wed and thurs and we will see if anything comes from it??

Anyone ovulating super late and having a hard time getting preggo??
