how do you handle BFP announcments?

Well I'm going to be honest, hopefully this doesnt make me a bad person. I congratulate the person, but honestly I'm jealous and upset its not me. I hate to feel that way, but cant help it. At this point I'm tired of hearing about them. It seems there's a new announcment everyday. Sometimes I just hang in my room to get away from it all.

Now dont get me wrong, if someone had been ttc for awhile I would be very happy for them. I guess my anger is more towards those "surprise or unplanned pregnancies." I just want it for myself.

not well & im not secretive about it at all! pretty much everyone knows about us ttc for almost 3 years & they should know im not going to be excited for them. i always come around. im jealous and angry for the first few months then im over it. my friend lyndi is pregnant with her 3rd girl in the 3 years we have been ttc (we actually started trying shortly after her first daughter was born & this last baby is scheduled for a csection 8 days before her oldest's birthday) & when i found out about her #2 i was upset but when i found out about #3 i was livid! she was at bradys party yesterday & i was fine with it, its just that initial shock & that upsets me i guess.

I don't deal with it very well at all. Usually I give my......Oh! I am so happy for you!.....and then try to get away as quickly as possible. Then, once I am home and alone......I usually lose it.

I too don't deal with it well but I have to handle it privately...DH gets mad when I don't get happy for our friends.
