My husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost one year exactly. For six months, I have not had a period. For the first two months, I thought it was simply stress, so I didn't attempt to go to the doctor. In the third month, my husband lost his job, as well as our insurance. I am now vomiting daily, I have constant cramps - no bleeding - and my boobs are getting larger every other week. I've taken two tests and they all come back negative.. Since I am a college student, I qualify for free healthcare from the state. When I applied, I was turned down.. The woman informed me, the area is only allotted a certain amount of money for free healthcare. Because of that, they cannot hand it out to every college student, only those that are pregnant or have a child. When I explained that was what I needed was a blood test, since all of the home tests were negative she laughed and said I wasn't getting a chance at healthcare til I could prove I was pregnant.. Maybe it's just nerves, I though it was, but why all of the other symptoms also? Has anyone had any cases like this before? Please, PLEASE help.

My first question would be is this common for you?
I go for 6 months without a period every couple years. My cycles normally range between 28 and 100+ days. Normal for me.

Second. Please call your local planned parenthood. They work with lots of students and are always happy to do whatever they can to help you. They are there for reproductive health and care.

Good luck

Crazy enough to try all over again for a second together baby! Hoping for a much less wild ride this time!

TTC with PCOS for 5 very long years. Annovulatory cycles. Multiple doctors. Different meds. One horrible loss. And then one wonderful success, born 2/18/14.

I never knew until that moment how badly it could hurt to lose something you never really had. - Missed Miscarriage at 10 weeks - 3/26/13
