DH has male infertility. If we can boost his count and improve his morphology through suppliments and medication we will go for the IUI - if not we'll go for IVF. I hope it doesn't come to that. I hate the idea of making payments on a baby every month like it's a car or something. I'd rather spend that money on the actual baby (toys, clothes, etc.) But we'll do whatever we have to do. Anybody else in the same boat.
My blog with new TTC cartoons every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday:
My husband and I are going to have an IUI next month for the first time. We are in the same boat and hoping the IUI (or one thereafter) will work, but if not we will consider an IVF as well. I do understand what you are saying about he IVF, but as you said, we will do what we have to for our futures of having a family. I wish you all the best with your journey!
Hi! My DH has infertility as well. Drs have told us that his count is too low to do IUI and we have just started moving towards doing IVF. We would have prefered IUI but even with stuff like strict dieting and "fertile aid" it isn't making a big enough difference that we could get to the count we needed for it. Good luck with everything
Good luck to everyone that's posted so far. My DH doesn't have infertility problems, however I do. I have a diminished ovarian reserve (DOR). Since last June, I've done a total of 7 cycles of meds with IUI's. All unsuccessful. The meds haven't been helping produce more eggs.
I've done research on how to help boost DH's sperm count, quantity and quality. Since that seems to be everyone's problem here, try getting your DH to eat the foods in this link.
I'm late to this feed, but I wanted to add to it! We have MFI too, my husbands count is low...but not too low for IUI. He's currently on Fertility Blend for Men and Clomid (25mg/daily) to help increase count. We're going to move forward with IUI this cycle, whenever it starts.
Good luck everyone!!
