Honestly I don't remember my dd biting anyone, but my ds would bit my dd. We told him not to be biting but at 1 and 2 they don't listen. We just told her to run when he got to close to her and yell for us. My mom told me to try this, have dd bit ds. DS didn't like to be bitten and we told him sister didn't like to be bitten either, after a few bites he stopped. I guess it wasn't any fun when you bite someone and they bite you back.

That's so weird that you'd ask this today... tonight Brady almost bit someone for the first time ever! I caught him just about to bite his daddy and stopped him before he did. I was kind of shocked because he's never done it before. Hopefully it's not something new he's going to try!

DD and DS both used to bite CONSTANTLY. They would leave marks, bruises, draw blood. It was horrible! With DD I kept trying to discourage it with time out and things, but it didn't work. One day she bit me really, really hard so I thought what the heck and bit her back. Not anywhere near as hard and it didn't hurt her at all, but it shocked her. She hated the slobber on her arm so much she stopped! When DS got bad about it we tried the same thing and it failed miserably. He thought it was so funny so he started biting even harder. DH actually has a scar on his stomach from DS biting him! We got to a point where we wouldn't let him hug us or anything so he couldn't bite us. Once he put two and two together he stopped.

DD had a horrible biting problem for a long time. I was at my wits end because there were no other little kids around to bite her back and make her stop. (She also had a bad habit of headbutting at the time.) One day as I was sitting there with a black eye, a broken nose, and my arms all bruised from her biting me constantly I decided I'd had enough. She bit me again and this time I bit back. Not hard....but enough so that she knew it didn't feel great. You would have thought I had broke her arm or something the way she screamed. She rubbed her little arm and kept asking, "Why momma bite sis? Why momma bit sis?" I explained to her that it hurt and made me sad when she bit other people just the same way it hurt her and made her sad that I had bitten her. She never bit anyone else after that.

I don't remember DS ever biting though.
