I am so stinkin excited! I turned in my notice at work today. My boss asked me to hold off just a bit longer so she can get her vacation in, so my last day is July 15th. (The kids are gone until August anyway, so no biggie.) I can't wait to be a SAHM again. I've been saying since I was a little girl that's what I've always wanted to do.

Well, I am really excited about it, but the only reason I am able to do it is because my daughter was just diagnosed with epilepsy. DH's insurance won't cover her because of a court order saying that my ex had to have insurance on them. He doesn't so I have to have Medicaid to cover her meds and doctors bills. With both of our jobs and my child support we make too much for Medicaid. Money will be really tight for us, but it's going to be better having the Medicaid because her medicine alone would eat up my entire paycheck, and then I would have to pay a babysitter out of the child support. It's crazy, but we are going to be better off financially if I don't work.

I'm sorry about her diagnosis, but glad that you get to be a SAHM. I find it 150% fulfilling. It's stressful and exhausting, but the only thing I can see myself doing. I'm sorry that you're dealing with the insurance fiasco, but it sounds like things are better off in a way.
