Have you ever been in an ambulance?

Yes two times that I can remember once to be transported for test and once with my FIL.

once as the patient, and once with DD as the patient. I used to volunteer with the EMS though, so I've been in them more times than I could ever count!

Nope. In my family you only call an ambulance if you can't move them yourself. We can't afford a $800 ride!

I have never had a ride in an ambulance--I'd like to keep it that way!

Twice... Once was after a car accident. I was fine but my friend and I couldn't get a hold of anyone to come and get us and the police and EMS guy both thought we should go to the hospital to be checked to make sure we were ok. At the time ambulances were covered under our provincial healthcare so it didn't cost me. The other time, I passed out after donating blood and I hit my head on a cement floor.

That's exactly why I won't give blood. I get all wobbly just from 3-4 vials. Donating I would probably have a fainting story to share as well! I hope you didn't get hurt badly.

It was my own fault... I've donated many times and never had a problem but I was running late and didn't have dinner before I went. Donating blood when you haven't eaten since breakfast is not a good idea!!! lol I knew better but I guess I was having one of those "I can do anything" moments. I ended up missing out on what I was supposed to be doing that night because I was at the hospital having my head x-rayed. I had a concussion but it wasn't anything serious.
