Yes, the distance was a big factor. The judge ruled me as the custodial parent, and he got visitation. 9 weeks per year. One year he gets Thanksgiving (1 week) and Easter (1 week) and then 7 weeks in the summer. The next year he gets Christmas (2 weeks) and 7 weeks in the summer. Usually he doesn't take the other visits......just summer, so I give him 8 weeks then. This year he got just over 7 weeks. I couldn't let him have more because of Sierra's seizures earlier in the summer, and the need to get her to some specialist appointments before school starts again.
