I usually avoid the news. I pity just about everybody that has anything bad happen to them so the news just makes me incredibly sad. Plus politics annoy me with all of the bashing they do.

I follow the news, mostly online and then on tv. I rarely ever read the paper, but mainly just because I live in a rural area and there is nothing in it anyway. lol

Just in case you didn't know......JM has an IN THE NEWS board too. You should check it out. (Yes, this has been a shameless plug for the other board that I host! lol)
