At what age do you think its approriate to give your child soft drinks?

Ideally, never. Realistically, over 2 !

I think Sierra was 2 or 3 when she started drinking soft drinks, but only occasionally. Will got them much younger because I was working and my ex would give them anything to get them to leave him alone. Now they only rarely get soda. usually if we are eating out, but even then I lean towards caffeine free 85% of the time or more.

I think 3 is okay.
dd started around 3 and only sprite still only drinks sprite. ds started around 2 but he doesn't really drink it unless one of us has it he takes ours.

I hope to never give my kids soda. If they start drinking it who ever gives it to them will get an earful.
