Once upon a time I did. The I told my ex that I was leaving him BEFORE I took the kids college funds out of the bank. Both our names were on the accounts, and he took the money and laughed all the way to his new bank. It wasn't a ton of money, but every little bit helps. We are starting accounts for the kids now, but I've already made sure they understand that they need good grades so that they can get scholarships for school.
