Do you think dolls (like the ones shown below) teach our children to be too materialistic and too seductive at too early an age? Do/will you allow your daughter to play with them?

If my daughter came home with dolls like those we'd be having a serious talk. I definitely think that the clothes we permit them to put on their toys gives the impression that they're acceptable for people as well.

Not only the clothing these dolls where, but the amount of makeup they wear, the seductive poses and 'come hither' stares.......I just think it's a bad idea. I have never allowed Sierra to play with Bratz, and she has no interest in Barbie, so I've been lucky. She was more of a teddy bear type kid.

I definatley think they send the wrong message, I don't have a little girl but I would not want her to play with this type stuff, my best friends little girl like dora dolls and I think that is fine.

My dd likes them and I personally don't mind them. I guess if she wanted to dress like that or wear the makeup I would think different, but i'm glad she doesn't. I do buy her the bratz babies, she has her room done in bratz she doesn't play with the dolls she has them on her shelves still in the boxes. Barbie she doesn't like

Hmmm do those come with the Las Vegas street corner playset? Cause they look like they belong there!
