I guess that solves the what am I going to make for dinner problem! Nothing until DH gets home and chases this very unwanted guest out of my house!!!

He's currently hanging in the corner above my sink. I went to my MIL's a few hours ago to get away from him. Here's a pic now that he's settled down.

So yeah...I'll be MIA until DH gets home and evicts this evil little rat with wings! uhhhhghhhh! *does a full body shudder* I HATE BATS!!!

That's crazy!!! What's crazier is...that's the second story I've heard of in the last month. My cousin went away with her DH and kids and when they came back there were 3 bats flying around their kitchen. I would have peed my pants!

I was mid-post when I looked up and saw it flying through the kitchen. I grabbed the dog and cat and locked them in one room, closed all the doors and ran! lol I'm glad to say the bat has been permanently evicted. DH's SIL and I came in and killed it while my MIL stood outside the window and videotaped us! LOL If I can figure out a way to upload it to youtube, I'll post a link.

OH, not me! My BIL's wife is one brave woman. I just stood there with a screen keeping it from landing on us, and then I ran screaming! lol I still can't believe that I let her talk me into that!

Aww, I actually like bats. They're not bad really. Opening a door or window is usually sufficient to get them to eventually fly out on their own. Any idea how it got in?

Not a clue. ANd this little guy was stubborn. He wasn't leaving. We opened the window and removed the screens trying to get him to fly out but all he wanted to do is swoop at our heads! DH is going to spend the day Saturday trying to figure out how he got in. Best we can figure is that there is a hole in the screens that are covering the air vents in the little crawlspace attic. We might have to call the land lord though because we aren't even sure how to get into the attic, and can't find the opening. My only guess is it's one that you have to get into from outside, but that still doesn't explain how the bat got downstairs!

They can actually squeeze through tiny spaces if they need to. It may have found a small opening that you don't even know about and crawled in through there. You'll want to keep watch because others may find the same opening.

I think alot of it is because the temp here has dropped so significantly. Tuesday it was 93. Wednesday it was 87. Yesterday it was 58! It was so cold so fast that all the little critters had to try to find a warm place to sleep.
