I'm so frustrated! I swear if the doctor wasn't so great I'd never go back! They open at 9. I specifically scheduled my appointment for 10 because for some reason the doctor is never there until 9:45 and I didn't want to be sitting around waiting. I got there 20 minutes early, so they got my weight, my BP and my temp, and then sat me in a exam room. I sat....and sat....and sat....and sat. I heard the doctor come in around 10:15. And I sat.....and sat.....and sat. At 10:40 he finally came in and asked me what I was there for. Teased me a bit, cracked a few jokes, and then ordered the blood work I needed. Then I sat..... and sat.....and sat. Finally they came in and drew the blood, and I asked how long it would take to get the results. That's when they tell me..."Oh, we send this out to another lab. It's gotta go to Kansas City this afternoon. It's a 24 hour turn around but since today is Friday, we'll have the results on Monday."


ARRRGH! Why wasn't I told this when I specifically called and asked if they could do this test IN THE CLINIC??? My appointment with the RE is on Monday and this has to be faxed to him BEFORE my appointment. Now these pains are telling me I can't get the results until Monday, and I have to leave my house BEFORE they open! If they don't fax my results first thing Monday morning, I'm going to be one unhappy person! GAH! Sometimes I hate living in a rural area!

That stinks. I hate when they make you wait so long, especially for the 1st appt of the day. I hope you get your results in time.

Sometimes the staff at the doctor's office can ruin his reputation and drive patients away. My DH had to terminate his secretary because of how she was treating patients!

I hope they can fax the results in time. Keep us updates.

That's the thing. One on one I like everyone at the office. The people at the desk are great, the nurses are great, the lab techs..eh, so/so. But they don't seem to be able to work together like they should. It just baffles me!
