When did you start PTing? DS is 23 months old, hates sitting on the potty or toilet----I know many of the girls in my PR are PTing and going well, boys not so much. When did you start PTing and how did you do it?
I have also heard boys train later. Tayla has been going on the potty since a little after she turned 1 but only once and a while. She goes alot more now. We don't push it just ask sometimes and let her sit when she asks. But she has always been obsessed with the bathroom, she always want's to go in with me...she wants to go in with everyone but we only let her go in with me and that's really cause I don't have much of a choice she's home with me alone. She just started asking to get out of the tubby to sit on the potty and she really goes then gets back in the tubby...it's so cute. I think she is still too young most of the time she doesn't realize she has to go until it already started and she will just stop and kind of touch down there or try to pull her diaper down. Then she will go sit on the potty. We just bought her pullups but she thinks they are swim diapers and gets all hot and bothered that we are not going swimming...lol. so we are just sticking to diapers for now. I heard it's a lil easier when they are older cause they can understand more and communicate with you more...I don't know. A pamphlet they gave me at the dr's says they are developmentally ready until they are at least 2 and it said boys usually train at 3. It also said it they are not interested stop for 1-2 months and reintroduce it. Hope it helps.
Good luck.

Thank you .hoodihoo.this. for my rockin siggie!
Boys definitely PT later. Will was about 2.5 when I started PT him. I had seen other friends struggle with PTing their boys and I wasn't interested in a full out battle so I just waited. When I finally started it was much easier than I thought it would be!
Thank you Ladies! I'll hold off for a while. He had been going on and off since he was one, but now he has a potty aversion, so I'll wait I guess I bet the day home sitter could train him, he does everything for her that he won't do for me!
