It's about an hour and a half away. WE have the appointment itself, then I have some tests and DH has to have his SA. Since we are already going to be in the city, we are also going to do our monthly shopping trip while we are there. I probably won't be on until after dinner time tonight, but I'll be on when I can!
Well, I have very mixed emotions after my appointment today. First of all, I loved the doc. DH got his SA done and we'll have those results Wed. or Thur. We will not be trying IUI this cycle though. In fact, we won't be trying at all. So I'm out for a May and June baby. The RE was surprised that my OB?GYN didn't check or mention this at all, but with the answers I gave him to some of his questions, and my own family history, he's pretty sure that I have endometriosis, so as soon AF shows in force I've got to call back in and schedule my laparoscopy/hysteroscopy. I didn't really expect that at all, so it really took me by surprise.
If DH's SA comes back at normal levels, then next cycle we will be doing Clomid/Femara and trying on our own for a couple of cycles. If the SA shows low count, then it will be Clomid/Femara and then IUI. So now it's a waiting game.....waiting for the results of the SA to determine wither we try on our or do IUI.
Part of me is really excited, but part of me is really freaked out. I've had problems with anesthesia before, so this makes me a bit nervous. (I woke up DURING a surgery, and then they gave me too much the second time, and I was out MUCH longer than I was supposed to be.) In the end it will be worth it....It's just stressful![/b]
((HUGS)) I'm sorry you got some surprises at your appt you weren't expecting, my big RE appt was the same. As for surgery, if you have a good anesthesiologist put your under, and they are made aware of your history of waking and getting too much anesthetic, you should be fine. I hope the SA and lap come out well for you both.
Sounds like you got quite the mixed bag. Hopefully the SA will come out great and you get a BFP on your own! If you have to have the test at least you will know what your dealing with and maybe their will be a better way to go about it. Hoping for you!
