I'm coming back ladies, though I won't post as heavily as I did before. So here is an update for you.
I went ahead and saw my doctor about my symptoms and she thought she felt a fibroid during the exam. She scheduled basic bloodwork and a sonogram. After a bit of trouble getting the lab to fax over the results I finally got a response yesterday. No fibroids were seen on the sonogram, but it is possible that I have PCOS. Something to do with the number of follies they saw as well as the size. My doctor wasn't in to look at the test yesterday though and won't be in until Monday. Since it was somebody else that looked at it I'm taking the results with a grain of salt. It's more important to me to hear it from somebody that knows my history and that I trust. She's going to call Monday and give me her opinion as well as the next step.
On the lighter side of things we'll be moving next month. We're going from an apartment to a townhouse. It's an hour away from where we are now, but pretty much the same distance from everywhere we go. Where we're at now isn't in a convenient location for much of anything at all. We're still debating our move-in date, but I'll let everybody know when we've figured that out.
Anyways, I think that's about it. Time to get DD ready for school!

Anna, I think I may not what the number/size follicles has to do with pcos, (I also have pcos) If you have follicles around the time you should O that are not large enough to support a healthy egg, then you are not actually considered to o, and this is pcos symptom, when they did sonograms on me on day 13 I would have follicles, but they would always be far too small. The good news though is that pcos is treatable, so if your doctor tells you that this is indeed what you have then they have move on with a treatment plan, I was diagnosed with pcos in 2003, and got pregant in 2005, I will be praying for you.

Thanks for the warm welcomes ladies.
Vicki, they did my scan on CD 7 so I'm not sure how big any follies should've been. I tend to O between CD 12 and CD 23 though so if I were going to O later I would think the follies would be small anyways. My doctor doubts that I'm actually O'ing though because my hormones are so out of whack and I know you can show a thermal shift without O'ing. I think it's because your body thinks you did even though you didn't, but I'm not sure. Do you know what they might do to check for it if my doctor agrees with that possibility?

They will probably do more blood tests, they will check you for insulin resistance, and several other factors, I don't usually o either, I am going back to my doctor and hopefully she will give me metformin back (i quit taking it when I got pregant with ds, and did not start back because of insurance issues), it does make my cycles allot more regular, and it and clomid combined does actually make me o. I hope you get your bfp soon.

Thanks for the information. In all honesty I'm more worried about our insurance than the idea of having PCOS. I've seen so many women here with it that I don't think it could get me down. It's not like I'd feel like I'm the only one and nothing will ever happen.

Thanks, that's very encouraging. My cousin developed it after having two and was never able to have a third. She's let her weight get out of control though and now she's facing diabetes and what they think are minor strokes. I'm pretty sure her weight is what made her PCOS so bad.
