I finally heard back from my doctor! She said that the results could be good or bad depending on my regularity. If I'm regular with small follies then it points to PCOS, but if I'm irregular it just may not have been time yet. She wants me to schedule a follow-up and bring in my charts with me so she can see what's going on and the statistics that FF has gathered. If the insurance company will cover an SA (99.9% sure they won't, but I'm going to call them anyways) then she wants to have that done ASAP and if the results are good then she'll put me on Clomid. If they won't cover it then she'll put me on Clomid for 3 months and then she won't be able to do anything else until an SA is done. It'll cost $300-$500 without insurance unfortunately. She mentioned possibly doing an x-ray to see if they spot anything in there, but it'll all depend on what she thinks of my charts. I'll go in on the 23rd to discuss it all.

It sounds like she is a very proactive doctor, and that sounds like a great plan of action, I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you, I really hope your insurance will cover your dh's sa.

The woman I talked to today was actually helpful and told me how to have them code things to get them covered. Now it's a matter of how to convince the offices involved to do it that way. Clomid definitely wouldn't be, but if that's the only problem we have with the coverage it'll be alright.

That's great, it's rare to get someone who is actually helpful, my insurance will not cover anything at all, not even the diagnosis of infertility. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you and your dh, hopefully his sa will be normal.

I've found it to be EXTREMELY easy to get things coded the right way. I have the same situation, and my RE's office has gotten EVERYTHING covered so far. Out of nearly $5000 worth of testing and surgeries, my bill at the moment is right around $250.

I hope that they can do the same for you, and I am thrilled that you are finally getting some answers!

That's a good idea vicki...I just found out Seth's problem with it is doing it at their office. Can you drop it off??? Good luck. I hope you insurance covers you. My clomid costs $9.00 at Walmart. I priced it at walgreens and it was $25.00.

Thanks ladies. This wait is going to be maddening! I can't wait to have DD in a school that doesn't have a pscychotic schedule. I could be going in next week if the people that set up this one had brains in their heads. Even teeny tiny ones.
