I had my first RE appt. on Wed. and I am feeling so happy and reassured!

DH didn't go with--so it was just me.

The dr. was GREAT--so kind and compassionate and very knowledgeable. He is older, maybe 70? He seems so experienced and was highly recommended.

The first thing we did was just chat--and go over my 8 months of charts. He told me I no longer need to temp. which is such a relief to me. He said it's clear I'm ovulating and from now on they are going to monitor me so no need to temp! YAY.

I was on CD 15---we had BD'd CD 11, 13 and 14. The dr. suggested we do an u/s right there in the office to see if I was getting ready to O or already had.

Went right in with him and his nurse practicioner (who was also sooo nice) and he did an u/s and explained everything so thouroughly. He said my ovaries look great--and my egg reserve is GREAT, I have a nice supply. Then he said I had ALREADY ovulated in the last day or so--woohoo! Told me to go home and BD again as "insurance" but after that, to de-stress and know we'd hit it right on the money this month! Heehee.

THEN he took a cervical mucus sample--said it looks PERFECT and then he let me look at it under the microscope and I could SEE DH's swimmers! There were a few little tadpole things swimming around! CRAZY!

We finished up the appt. with a plan of action for the rest of the cycle. On Tues, CD 21, I go to the lab for a blood draw--a progesterone count to make sure my ovulation is "good."

DH will do a sperm analyis---I have the "cup" and the papers and we just need to schedule a time next week to drop it off at the lab. DH is thrilled--haha.

The dr. told me everything looks great so far--"textbook perfect' is what he said. He said he sees no need to start meds or anything at this point, as everything is working as it should. He told me we never know, this cycle might be it because we had timed it perfectly and "you never know when you've hit a home run."

If I am NOT pregnant this cycle, then I am to call the office and they will get me in for an HSG in the first 10 days of my cycle.

I am REALLY hopeful THAT might do the trick for me--esp. because I got pregnant so quickly with my DD after a lap. It seems that "flushing me out" works for me!

So--think +++ thoughts for me this month!
