Is IVF an option you will consider, or is it completely out of the question (for religious beliefs, financial reasons, or anything else)?

We're not considering it because:
1. We already have 2 boys.
2. I did get pregnant 2 months ago but miscarried, so there is still hope.
3. I'm 38 years old.
4. I don't think carrying multiples will be easy for me physically. I'll be happy to have twins naturally though.
5. I don't believe the success rate is very high at my age. I can't stand the hertbreak and the wasted $$.

In my opinion it is an option and something that I would be very willing to consider with the next 6 months or so. DH is completely against it though, and financially I don't know how it would ever be possible. I am saving towards it in case it does become an option that DH will consider. My RE does a thing where one attempt is around $13,000 or I can pay $18,000 and am promised 3 attempts. That way it's really cheap if the first attempt fails but if you are successful first attempt, you've paid extra. You are only eligible if you have NEVER had a failed or canceled IVF attempt at any time though.

If we won the lottery sure it would be an option, but our insurance doesn't cover infertility so it will be all out of pocket for us.

We would not be able to for a couple of reasons #1 is that we would not be able to afford it, and with my back/cervix problems I think carrying multiples would be a bit too much.

IVF.. I have to think long and hard.
I have one issue only and that what to do with any left over embies if we dont use them . My dh and I feel they are..Life... as of conception. I also believe God can and does use all sorts of methods to bless us with a pg just because its M/A dosnt mean a thing to me.

We couldn't afford it. If we didn't have tayla we would find a way we would both have to work 2 jobs for awhile but we would find a way. I also agree with prays for a dozen about the left over embies.

Irene: I totally agree with you. i never thought of this side of the IVF, but you're right. We need to think about those embryos and what's going to happen to them. If they could be frozen and implanted later (in the same mom) then I guess it would be OK.
I also think that God will bless me with a baby when the time is right. All I have to do is wait (since I don't have any specific problems to treat).

We won't do IVF. Neither of us wants to. We're willing to do medication, but that's our limit. Anything beyond that is out of the question. Anything beyond that involves too much assistance for our comfort and financially we couldn't handle it anyways.
