I am so furious! I had my progesterone test done on Monday. It's supposed to take 24 hours to get results, but that didn't happen. Now they faxed the test results to my RE instead of my family doctor (which is where they need to be except when I talked to them yesterday they said I could call my family doctor today and he would have the results by 9AM). So I've spent all day on the phone with the family doctor instead of the RE's office and NOW they tell me. Oh did I mention that my RE's office closes early on Wednesday because it's his surgical day!

ARRRRGH!

When I asked her for the results she said I am "not qualified to receive the results!" They are MY freaking test results and I just want to know if my medicine is doing it's job! So back on the phone with the family doctor trying to get them to get the results faxed to them so I can get flipping results sometime before MENOPAUSE sets in!

And yes, I am highly hormonal today and this probably isn't really that big a deal, but it still has me in tears and ready to cuss!

Sorry... I just had to vent before I end up hurting someone!

ETA: I finally got the results. This is why I don't like getting my hopes up. Even with the Clomid my progesterone is still only at 10. I'm sure my "symtoms" as promising as they are..... they are just IPS. I officially give up on this cycle and am waiting for AF.

Stephanie! Don't give up yet. It's still too early. Your Progesterone might still go up after implantation. You're deffinitely not out yet.

I replied in TCAL. You clearly had a great O by your temps and remember progesterone does not reflect being pg/not pg. I would not give up yet. You could need supps is all.

Good luck!!!!

I'm trying to stay somewhat hopeful, but it's hard to do when we are pretty sure that the low progesterone is the reason for my early losses and for why it's taking so long to get pregnant to begin with. It just makes me nervous.

I've got a call into the RE right now asking about getting a progesterone supplement. He had thought the Clomid enough was going to help but I think it's obvious I need both.

ETA: Ok, I talked to the RE. He said that while he had HOPED to see something higher that a level of 10 at 7 dpo is perfectly capable of rising and maintaining a pregnancy. I am to call immediately when I receive a BFP (whether it's this cycle or another one), and they will order a blood test that day and 48 hours later to check my betas. They will also do an ultrasound at 6 and at 8 weeks to make sure that everything is going well. I was a assured again that they really believe I will be pregnant in no time.

I definitely feel much better after talking to them. Still nervous because I am pretty convinced that I am going to get a BFP when I test, but much better than yesterday.

OH, and then hospital lied to me yesterday. They said they had already faxed my test results to my RE.....when I called, my RE had no idea I had even had the test done because they didn't send him the results. He assumed I just hadn't hit 7dpo yet. GRRRR! I am so finished with the local hospital!

I'm glad you got good news on your progesterone! You were definitely in need of some good news.

The labs out here (independent and hospital) have been TERRIBLE about sending over results lately. I'm wondering if they've had to let people go because of the economy and it's negatively impacting their responsibilities. I still haven't heard on my CD 3 blood work. I'm going to call them today. I think 2 weeks is a long enough wait! Anyways, point being, your hospital isn't the only place that stinks at service right now.
