When he was a baby - no. He wasn't walking so it wasn't a big deal. Besides, they say it is better for kids to learn to walk barefoot. So until it started getting hard to lug around him, my diaper bag, and my purse he started walking. He walks to and from the car to most places we go.

Yes. That way by the time they got to walking they were used to having shoes on their feet. Of course a lot of the time they did just wear their socks, but I tried to do a fair bit of time with shoes too.
