If we have the money I would buy her one but I am going to let her get a job when she is old enough so she can help towards it or at least the insurance.

No we won't buy them their own car. They can save their money and get a job to buy their own car. We will probably let them drive our cars with a few rules.

I have never bought my own vehicle. My IL's (before DH and I were married) added me to their insurance and gave me their old car to drive when they got a new one. And then when they sold it they gave us the money from it (a whopping $600) and then we inherited my current car from DH's grandfather when he passed away). DH and I bought our truck together when we had been married a year.
