Thanks! Last November I was in size 20/22 and weighed 220, now I'm in size 14 jeans and weigh 188---the first six months I followed a low glycemic index diet, and since then I've been on Weight Watchers. I've been on a 3 months hiatus since October, and am just getting back on plan now. We don't buy/eat anything out of a box, they're usually high sugar carbs that make DH and I gain weight. I snack on fruit, and we try to eat more protein. I also try to walk at least three miles a week. I don't think there's any "magic" to weight loss, except eating less fat and high sugar carbs, and exercising. Burn more calories than you eat would be the "magic" I've also been on the Mommy Wtloss and Fitness board here on JM, excellent support network! Good luck!!

How in the world are you 188 & wearing a 14! That's great, please don't get me wrong but I'm 185 & can't fit into a 14. I'm so jealous! I wear a 16 right now. I want to get down to about 145 but even at 150 I'd be happy.

I'm 5'6", and all of my weight is in my belly region--at my lowest of 182 my 14's were loose, since I crept up a bit last month, my 14's are tight now. My goal is to be in a 12 when I go into the RE's office to start IVF next month

That must be it - I'm only 5'4! All my weight is in my tummy too but with my shorter height I have more of it in my tummy than you do - I joke with DH that why can't I have some of it in my BB's, noooooo it's all in my tummy. I'm pretty small up top!

Thanks so much for the info!!
I am a 5 3" and ughh gained 10 pnds over the Holiday. I was 184 and now 194,
That is the heaviest I have ever been and in a size 18 now
I am going to check out weight watcher!
I have started useing excersice bike and have cut butter and condaments from everything as well as no more night snacks/sweets and useing way less sugar in my coffee( 2x a day)
We eat lots of fresh whole organic foods so eating out a box is not a issue for us. I grow all organic friut and veggies in the summer for us to eat as well
I am going to buy a treadmill to try work on my endurance since I run out steam pretty fast on the bike lol.
My issue is SWEETS!!! I have a terriable time contrlling my sugar addiction I eat reg potions and even cutting back on that.
Does anyone know what the averge caleries we should be eating a day?
Thanks again and Congrats!!!

Calories depend on current weight, activity level, and a variety of other things. Try this site: here
WW has you eat so many points each day, which converts to a calorie amount.
