Ughh we had a local death from snowmobiles and avalanch. I do not know the family but I know some of sledder's there at the time.. He was 24 and has 2 month old dd..please pray for this family.

The really sad part is the recovered him by his $10,000 sled under 1.5 meters of snow and the locater that would have saved his life only cost $300

The scary part is my DD Sleds there all the time!!

Her and her friends family are acually going to the yearly Snow fest sledding bash. next week..in the exact same spot as the avalanch...she is NOT going now!

Oh, that is awful, I will pray for the affected families, and i hear you on not letting your dd go, it would scare me also.

Scary. That big avalanche in Fernie scares me-I've also got family members who go sledding in the mountains up by Chetwynd

Oh no Maire they had a avalanch there to I think yesterday one victim.

I cant believe this they have warning all week...
