We no longer speak now. She feels since she got pg with her 8 kids with TRICKIng her dh that IF you have infertility issues you are disqualified from haveing more or even any kids...

By the way her DH forced her to have a tubal so she is hateing me right now.

I've been told to relax, go on vacation, it'll happen when its meant to be, maybe everyone isn't meant to have more children, etc... All of those comments really stab me in the heart-do people seriously think that after all of this time that I haven't really tried hard? My obgyn asked me a few months ago if we're bd'ing---are you kidding me? No Dr, we haven't tried DTD, does that really work???

You know, the last time I saw my OB to discuss TTC, he actually told me that he has patients that don't *try* much. I showed him my charts which he commented looks good & said that he has to fuss at those who don't *try*! I thought that was kinda crazy - you gotta *try* but I guess there are people who think 1 day is enough or something (and actually for some, IT IS Personally, that's what I hate - all these oopsies that only took ONE time (not one cycle but one TIME) - why can't I be like that ).

My RE is still getting used to my warped since of humor. He asked me at the last visit "How frequently do you have intercourse?" Without cracking a smile I looked him straight in the face and said (with my voice full of disbelief "You mean I have to have SEX to get pregnant!?!" He got that fish out of water gasping for air thing going on trying to think of how to react and I cracked up.

I get comments that hurt all the time. One lady at church said recently "Three years isn't that long. It took me eleven years to have my son!" Well, yeah, I get that you had to wait a really long time, but three years is still a long time too. And don't try to make light of my problems just because I haven't tried as long as you have.

My mom said that infertility is God's way of telling me I should stop being selfish and that I am not a good enough mom to have more kids. This is the same woman who told her 15 year old son to find a place to stay because she was moving in with her boyfriend and there wasn't room for him....and then let the same 15 year old move in with his 24 year old girlfriend! My sister said pretty much the same thing too. As she drops her kids off at the baby sitter for days on end so she can go get drunk. (Remind me again......why is it that we don't get along? )

And I think the icing on the cake was my SIL the other day when she is in the middle of changing he 9 month old's diaper......talking about her appointment with her OB and actually looked at me and said..........."You are so lucky that you aren't pregnant!" Umm, EXCUSE ME! I've been trying for three freaking years and you are going to tell me that I'm LUCKY!

People are so STUPID sometimes.

I LOVE your sense of humor. I wish I could do that but it's just not my personality! Wish I could have been there!

omg steph, that is crazy. I would like to think these things aren't said to be mean but honestly how can some of them not be. I mean really. You are a great mom to Sierra and Will and will be a great mom to your next babies!

It really bothers me when people say "all he has to do is sneeze on me and I get pg"...really is that how it works. 3 people have said this to me and it was right after I was talking about ttc or how long we have been ttc. How can that not be meant to hurt? It's like they are trying to say well MY body works the way it's supposed to. One of these people I want to say well just because you can get pg doesn't mean you should. She has 2 kids by 2 diff fathers (1 is in jail and saying it's not his baby, even though she got pg along time before he went to jail) and alltogether she has been pg 5 times by 3 diff guys and had 3 abortions. ***. She also lives with her parents who drive her kids to daycare and pick them up and watch them ALL the time even when she is there cause she is either on the phone or smoking in the other room. Her son is an animal and I hate my daughter around him. ugh...sorry. I get really upset thinking about this.

I know how you feel - it sometimes feels like the people who watch & care for their children & are really good parents have a hard time when they want one but the ones that shouldn't have them, can have them whenever.
