A friend begged me to join a dating site with her. I wasn't interested and even laughed about the fact that she honestly believed she could join online, but I joined anyway because they had games and forums. Matt was also only there for some harmless flirting on the forums.

Mike & I work at the same company - that's how we met!

We met online in a aol chat room in January 2000 i was 17.
We met in person in August 2000 after exchanging pictures online months before.

Corey and I met in Yahoo Chat room in 2001. We were both making fun of people wanting to "cyber" and just started chatting. He asked for my phone number that day and called me that night. We only lived an hour apart, that weekend (which was 2 days later) he drove down and we met in person. We just clicked and it felt like we'd always known each other. I was 18 at the time and he was 22. We've been together ever since. He moved to the town I lived in in 2003 and we had Teddy and got married in 2005.

You know I've dated a couple of guys, back in the past, after meeting them on the Internet - Yahoo chat even! Dated 2 seriously - one was a jerk the other was really nice. I actually still kinda keep in touch with him - we exchange emails every now & then but don't really keep up with each other on a daily basis or anything.
