You're
not just looking for excuses - by the sound of your symptoms you could definately be hypo! I know how frustrating it can be!

I was dx about 1.5 years ago. When you talk to your dr ask them to run TSH, Free T3, & Free T4 tests. They usually only run a TSH test so be sure you ask them to run the others. Testing your Free's is a better indication of how your thyroid is actually doing than the TSH. Some drs won't test your Free's so if that is the case I would probably go ahead & get only a TSH test run, keeping in mind you need to find someone to run FT3 & FT4. If your dr is unwilling to run the free's you might find a good dr on the
Thyroid Top Drs web site. I found my dr on this site (my 3rd one who I FINALLY liked - my first 2 were from referrals).
Also, you should check out the
Thyroid disorders board - the ladies there have such a wealth of information (btw, I'm on there a lot too). If it turns out that you are hypo I would recommend buying & reading
Living Well with Hypothyroidism by Mary Shomon. It will bring you up to speed on the condition & the thyroid board will help with anything the book leaves out. GL & KUP!
