I thought taking a break from TTC was supposed to mean I didn't have to choke down half a dozen pills a day. Well, someone didn't tell my body that. We think I might have
PMDD so we did some research asked a few questions and realized that most of the vitamin/ herbal things they recommend for PMDD are things I already have anyway, (tried at one point or another while TTC, but not all at once) so starting tomorrow I will be taking:
MORNING:
1 - 500mg Vitamin C tablet
1 - 1000mg evening primrose oil tablet
2 - 400mg chasteberry (vitex) capsules
NOON:
1 - 1000mg evening primrose oil tablet
1 - daily diet support tablet (daily vitamin with green tea and EGCG.....supposed to help with weightloss)
EVENING:
1 - 1000mg evening primrose oil tablet
2 - 400mg chasteberry (vitex) capsules
BEDTIME:
1 - 400mcg folic acid
1 - 100mg B-6
1 - 3mg melatonin (to help me sleep better)
1 - 250mg magnesium tablet
That's enough pills to choke a freaking horse. Hopefully it helps though. I haven't talked much about it but my PMS/PMDD or whatever it is has gotten so bad that for 3 or 4 days a month I am nearly impossible to live with, to the point where one or the other of us has mentioned divorce the last three months. Neither of us really want it, but I am horrible for a few days and make life miserable for everyone. Hopefully this works so that I am not as bad this time around.If not, I'll have to move on to stronger anti-depressants and possibly estrogen/progesterone treatments. The only other option beyond that would be birth control.
The silver lining.....hopefully this will not only help with my PMDD symptoms, but also bring us a surprise BFP since alot of this is also used to help with TTC.
