I just wanted to check on you. I know there was some severe weather/tornadoes in the north-central part of West Virginia tonight, so I was worried that it might have gotten bad there too. Check in and let me know you are okay as soon as you can!

Oh, so sweet of you to check, it affected allot of people and we don't yet know how bad the damage is for some, luckily we are still here and fine, I was afraid my house would blow away, it's a mobile home...you know the joke tornado's and mobile homes. It got up to about 40-50 miles an hour here and did some damage but we didn't really get any damage THANK GOD. I have heard that a few people were killed, one was a woman going to her brothers funeral, and we have widespread power outages, but we live between two huge mountains, i guess they shield us.

How about you, I heard you guys had some high winds also???

We always have high winds out here. We heard about tornado warnings on the news, and I called my sister to warn her because she doesn't get local channels on the satelite. She called me a little later to tell me that the power was out. I could hear the wind roaring. She was home with just her and the babies, and all three were near hysterical. Thankfully they didn't have any damage to their house. There were trees uprooted everywhere and widespread power outages.

Where my Grandma lives the storm ripped the roof off of the gymnasium just as the girls basketball game was about to start. And another nearby school had the roof ripped off the academic wing.

I heard about the lady attending the funeral who was killed. I can't even imagine what her family is going through.
