Tayla had a uti back in october so they scheduled some tests and we took her for them yesterday. She had an u/s on her kidneys which look great they have no damage. But they also did a VCUG which is when the cath her drain the urine fill her with dye and take xrays as the urine/dye leaves her body. They were looking for Ureter reflux and they found it. On a scale of 1-5 her's is a 2 so it's not that bad so we decided to put her on the propalaxis (sp???) bactrim and we are getting a referral to a renal specialist at Mass General. We are going to watch it and hope it goes away on its own. Which is a good possiblity because she is only 2 and it's only stage 2. She has to have regular u/s's and the vcug's and be on the antibiotic for an undetermined amount of time. The dr called today with the results of the u/a from yesterday and she has another uti so I have to double the bactrim for the next 10 days. I knew she had another one I told her that last week when we went to get the stitches out. Anyway, I am extremely worried and upset. I am angry that my lil girl has to deal with this and that's she's "sick" I just hope it goes away fast. I know it's not that serious but it's something that we really have to stay on top of because it can become very serious. If it doesn't go away on it's own she will need surgery.

I have to say that yesterday I was honestly glad I am not pregnant because I wouldn't have been able to stay with her for the test and she needed me. And will continue to need me until this is over soooo I have decided to put ttc on hold. Tayla has to be my priority right now. I cannot think about another child until I get this one healthy. Then it will definitely be something we will go back too. I am going to be staying on though if you girls don't mind. I know I'm not on all that much but I have really come to care about you girls and am looking forward to reading about your bfp's!!!

I'm so sorry about what's happening. I hope she starts to feel better soon. I understand why you are putting TTC on hold, if something like this happened to my son I would do the same. You got to focus on Tayla right now. Plus you got to stick around to keep us updated on how she is doing.

I will. Thanks girls for all the support. If you could just keep her in your prayers I would really appreciate it. I should be hearing from the dr's this week when her appt with the renal specialist is and I will feel alot better when I talk/meet with him/her. How is everyone else doing?
