Good luck with your 1st clomid cycle! Personally I had terrible mood swings on it and hot flashes, but I know of other ladies who had no side effects and healthy pregnancies as a result!

Welcome to the board hun. I hope that if you do have any side effects from the Clomid, they are minimal. I don't think the risk of miscarriage is really increased much if at all with Clomid versus a non medicated cycle, and I am sure that the days you take it doesn't affect miscarriage rates. What it does affect are the chances of multiples. If you take it on CD 3-7 that makes multiple follicles mature. CD 5 -9 just helps one follicle mature even better than it normally would.

I had some pretty bad side effects from Clomid which is why I quit taking it. (that and it wasn't working that great for me) but I've heard tons of success stories from it too. Good luck! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!

I've been on Clomid three times in my life: first time got pg and had a m/c, 2nd time got pg and had my term 29 month old son Nolan, third time didn't work and now I'm onto IVF. Good luck!!!

Wow, Steph - that is such good information! I'm taking mine on 2 - 6 so maybe I'll have twins!!!

I'm Amanda & am on my 2nd round of clomid. I have a progesterone defect so was given clomid to help with that. So far I have had no side affects except a rather painful first day of menstration but I took mine an hour before bed b/c I've heard about all the side effects so I wanted to minimize them.

GL!!!
