Have a great pediatrician that is on call, that way you don't end up at the hospital if you don't need to be.

Don't sweat the small stuff. The things you should really be worried about are things that you'll never even think of anyway, and when they do happen they blindside you on some lazy Tuesday afternoon. You can't plan for them, so just relax and enjoy it.

the first few weeks can be very tough, but each day will get better and better--specific to first time parents
