Does your family have dinner together around the table every night, is it an everyone for them self situation, or something in between?

Majority of the time it is a family dinner where the TV is turned OFF! We have at least 1 do it yourself night where everyone fends for themselves though.

Every night we have a sit down diner in the kitchen. B/c of food allergies we NEVER eat out or get take out. I make everything from scratch.

Until recently dinner was in the living room. We didn't have a table so we just all piled around the tv. We were given a table recently and now we have our meals around the table as a family as much as possible.

we eat together every night, around the table. DH and i take turns cooking. otherwise i'd go crazy cooking all the time after working a full day! on special occasions we'll have a "picnic" around the tv in the living room.
