i actually have two questions for those of you using clomid:

1-my prescription said take it days 3-7 of the cycle and i started day 4 b/c the pharmacy is closed on sundays! from things i read online, that's ok, as long as i take the full dosage...thoughts?

2-do any of you take OPK while on clomid or take your temp? my doc just said to try every other day from day 12 on through a week. what are your experiences?

Yes, your are fine as long as you take your full five days. I temp while taking Clomid and some cycles I do use OPK's. You just have to be careful because if you take them too early you can get a false positive. One other thing I noticed was that my temps were a good it higher early in my cycle when I took Clomid.

Yeah, you're fine... I do that on occasion & even asked the dr's office about it & my dr's office said it was fine!

I do both... I chart for myself & do the OPKs b/c that is what the dr requires. Every cycle when I go in he asks when my LH surge (i.e., + OPK) occurs.

I would highly recommend trying to figure out when you O (by charting &/or OPKs) & use that to guage when to stop trying, not just trying a week & calling it quits. Though if you start trying on day 12, for a week you most likely will have it covered but I just like KNOWING when I O for my own sanity.

I also did both OPKs and charting while on Clomid. My OB wanted me to use an OPK daily until I had a positive. She also wanted us to base BD on an O of CD 14 which did NOT happen on Clomid. The first cycle I O'd on CD 19 and the second I O'd on CD 17. Had we gone every other day for 5 days (starting before CD 14) on her assumption we may not be having our baby. We stuck to every other day until I had a positive OPK and they went negative again.

Wow-thanks for that advice too. My doc hasn't been too specific with me mostly b/c he doesn't think I'm a big fertility issue yet-so I really appreciate all this advice. I think I'll definitely start the OPK and try the reading my temp. That's one I haven't tried yet.
