Can you believe that it's already May?!?!?!?

I leave for vacation in just 3 short weeks! Mother's day is in 9 days (gah! I need to shop!) and I am officially starting my last year as a 20 something mom. This time next year I will be turning 30. I dreaded that number for so long. I don't know why. I haven't dreaded the thought of being 40 or 50 or even 60, but as long as I can remember I have NEVER wanted to be 30. In the past few months though, I have really embraced it I think. We'll see how I do next year I guess. lol

So what is everyone up to? Fill us in on the day to day stuff here!

Does anyone have any big plans for the weekend?

I just got home from the dentist. He did a ton of work on me and I am kind of loopy...combination of the stuff they used to numb me and the pain killers. I don't know how much I'll be around today.

Hopefully the weather will be nice so we can go out on the lake. We went for a boat ride lastnight after dh got home from work and we got out to our camp for the first time. When we were out on sunday there was too much ice to get out so we were very excited to make it out lastnight.

I spent all afternoon at the hospital waiting to see a dr. for dd. Her eye has been swollen for a couple of days but at first i just thought it was allergies but now it's gotten much worse, i think it might be a sty. I called the dr.s office while i was waiting at emerg. and they had an apt. open for today so we took it and just left the hospital. We would have been there all night im sure. I'm working at a school to day so mil is going to take her I have to go shopping for her mothers day gift. I really don't like mothers day ever since my mom passed away. Its kinda a sad day

I don't have much planned for later this weekend but today is a big day. We are looking into buying a home soon and we have an appointment at the bank this morning to see how much we can be pre-approved for. This afternoon we have an appointment to look at a house.

If we get pre-approved for enough we will likely be making an offer on the house we are looking at today. It's in a good location, we'd have great neighbors (Matt's Grandma is one, and his uncle who just had a house fire just bought a piece of property there too). It's a 5 bedroom house, and we are the first people to even ask about it (mainly because it went on the market Wednesday afternoon and we called about it Thursday morning). The price is something that we just can't pass up. Hopefully I'll have a big update to make tonight.

Stephanie, I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that you will be approved for enough to get that house, it sounds awesome 5 bedrooms wow, I have three right now we are either going to add on or try to find a bigger house, I like having a spare room for my crafts.

Well, it looks like the loan will likely go through. Now we have to figure out a way to come up with $1500 for the down payment/ closing costs. The house is great. It does need some work, but it's all cosmetic and things that Matt and his Dad can do. We are frantically trying to figure out how to come up with the extra $1500. Please pray that we can figure this out quickly and get this place. It would be great for us!

Me TOO! I'm praying for you, think $$$$$$. MIL took Emily for her Dr.s apt today and it turns out she has an infection in her eye (not a sty like i thought ) throat and ear infection. Poor thing. The dr. said she will have to go to the hospital for IV for 3 days if it doesn't get better quick. I am really hoping her meds will heal her quick.
