And no it's not a good one.

While people are loving the "Making Work Count" tax credit (gee, our money goes out as quickly as it comes in....I hadn't even noticed it.), millions of those people are not going to be loving it come spring. There is a problem with the new tax withholding tables and many people are not paying as much in taxes as they should be. As a result, people who normally receive (and may be counting on getting) a refund at the end of the tax year, may just end up with a tax BILL at the end of this tax year if they don't make some changes.

ugghhh----Related question, whast the tax credit for kids? And when can you apply it, the yr they are born?

Sorry I missed your question. Yes, you can apply for the credit once the child is born. I *think* it's mostly for people who make too much to qualify for the earned income credit, that way they get a break too. I'm not sure though because we have always qualified for the earned income credit.
