Hi girls, I thought it might be fun to have a chat thread where we can just talk about anything!
So how is everyone today, any upcoming doctor's appointments?

Nothing exciting here .... looking forward to a week off. No travel plans .... DD is in a dance camp next week, but still nice to be off. Hopefully the nice weather sticks around so we can hit the beach and the zoo!

My gal starts school September. Its just 3hrs a day but it seems such a huge step! To be honest I don't mind and we are both looking forward to it ...but I am dreading when she starts full time school. That seems so scary just because of the amount of time she will be away from me! But I know she will love all the learning and making friends.
Amanda...your so brave home schooling! Do you have to apply for a pack which tells you the areas and things to teach? I am thinking about doing a teachers assistant course when my D starts school and have always done alot of learning and teaching with D, but I prefer a supportive role than the full responsibility.

We're homeschooling this year as well after having a lot of trouble with the local school last year. Between kids taking/breaking her stuff, picking on her, punching her in the face, and injuries that the school should have prevented my patience is gone. We're not starting yet though. I want to wait until this little lady shows up first.

I totally don't blame you Anna, my nephew is being picked on at school also and I always was and the school really does not seem to do a thing about it, that's one of the main reasons why we are considering it also, that and we have some pretty strong fears that Caleb may have adhd just like my nephew has and our local school system does not do well with adhd kids.
I am going to try to get this place cleaned up today, I have a pile of laundry almost as tall as me that I need to put away, I hate doing laundry though.
What''s everyone else's plans today??

Today DD and I are headed to a local conservation park with a good friend and her DS. The Park has a HUGE pool that's more like a mini lake .... it's a zero entry pool. The weather looks fabulous for a picnic and swimming!!!! I LOVE summer!!
Anyone doing anything fun on the weekend??

Hi everyone. Yesterday I had a dr.s apt with my regular dr. just for results of my annual. Everything looked good (b.w and pap were all normal) Yesterday i decided to pull up all my carpet in my living room/dinning room. Its light cream and i have 2 dogs so there were stains and i was just sick of it. I was happy to find hardwood in the living room There is tile covering the hardwood in the dinning room but i'll pull it off maybe on the weekend. My back is aching today. There were crazy thunderstorms all night and this morning. Were thinking about going to the museum today. There is a kids toys from the past exhibit so that will be a good way to spend a rainy day. Whats everyone else up to today?

Sorry I've been kinda MIA... the first 2 days of school have been a real adjustment! It's been a lot of work but fun, wonderful work but work nonetheless! Anyone interested should check out my blog to see how our first 2 days went! Hopeful Hearts
Anna, how is your HSing going?
Jo, it really depends on where you live as to the rules. Where I live we have to enroll in what is called an umbrella school & while that costs a bit more money, it is also nice to have that support system already there. If I have questions or problems, all I have to do is call the school or my support group! There's a hmeschooling board here on JM that can help you a lot... those ladies know so much more than I do about it! Homeschooling - JustMommies Message Boards Also you can buy a curriculum that includes EVERYTHING but I chose to "pick & choose" my different subjects. Anyway, if you check out my blog, I've outlined our curriculum that we're using!
Steph & Nikki, I hope you ladies have a great time during your outings!!!

The weather has been FABULOUS the last few days!!!! Today we went to a water park with DH, DD, my sister and her kiddos. Poor DH looks like a lobster! Turns out the waterproof sunblock wasn't exactly sweat-proof
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

Awww, your poor hubby! lol
The weather here is looking pretty good too, but I work weekends *grumble* I do have next weekend off though! Yay!
Actually we went to a splash'n'play area yesterday which is FREE (amazing!) and has jets of water that squirt out the ground when kids run over it, and water tunnels extra. It was great fun and my daughter loved it although she seemed to get really cold really quick so had to dry off after 15mins, then we went to feed the ducks and walk around the park, then came back and she had another 15mins. If the weather is still nice I think we'll go again next week!

wow sounds like everyone is having a pretty great weekend.
We have had a crazy weekend here, yesterday was pretty boring till about 7pm when our new neighbors decided to do a "controlled burn" that was not very controlled and they did not tell us they were going to do this, basically where they are putting thier new home their was an old abondoned house and they decided to burn it down and the blaze got really close to our house, actually burned some of the trees down on our property(he had a firetruck but did not really know much about using it, he works for the fire dept but as a mechanic) so as you can guess it got scary and interesting.
Today we are going to lowes, again, constant home improvements right now, and then dh is going out of town for a few days tomorrow

The last few days have been scorching .... but I love it!!!! DD is at dance day camp this week, so taking some time to visit w/friends! My best friend had her 2nd daughter on Sun .... @ 34 weeks! She was 5lbs 8 oz, good size, but still needs to stay in the NICU for at least a week until she can eat properly.

I had a busy (good) day yesterday and was feeling pretty hyped all day but then at bedtime my mood just dropped and I felt all depressed. My hormones are so weird!
My best friend - who is pregs with her second, both times without 'trying' - sent me an email saying "I think you’ll get preggers when you least expect it. That’s what I think. I wouldn't be surprise if you get preggers with in the next five years. I know that’s not what you wanted but maybe that’s the plan."
I know she is being supportive and nice but it kept playing on my mind...I'd have said 'you'll get preggers in the next year' not five years! I think I'd die if I had to wait that long for another. This whole experience is making me a bitter person at times and I try so hard to rise above my infertility and still be happy for others who concieve.
Its just the one thing that people who never had to 'try to concieve' so long can understand. I hate it when people say 'just relax and it will happen'....people don't seem to understand, even when I explain it, that my cycle isn't working right so it WON'T happen if I do nothing!
Anyhoo...sorry for the mimi-moan. Just had to air it this morning.

Lol, thanks! I feel better now. You know that Angel Tarot link I put on another post? It really helps. I got Gabriael yesterday - who is linked to pregnancy and womanly things - and the overall message is that I am on the right path, to have faith and that it IS coming! I just need to be patient.
Have you tried it? Everytime I do it it seems to be spot on (even telling me to be calm and watch my temper).
I'll link again if anyone else wants to try it:

Nope, though it looks pretty cool! Honestly though I try to stay away from psychics & things b/c I'm trusting in the Lord. I don't think there is necessarily anything wrong with them... Steph who used to be the host of this board did them on occasion & she is a devout Christian too. It's just not for me... I think I would start putting my faith in psychic readings & things instead of where it should be... in the Lord. Besides for whatever reason (well actually I know the reason... the Lord) I have peace & KNOW that I WILL get pg so I'm just waiting! It's incredible how far I've come... I used to cry myself to sleep at night thinking it'd never happen & now since becoming a Christian & really walking with Jesus I am really OKAY even though I just had a m/c not that long ago! The worst part about the m/c though is that when I go to church now on Sundays I get to see the other 2 ladies (who were due in Jan with me) bumps grow & one is in the choir so you can't miss her! But it's funny though it can be hard at times I would have thought it'd be much harder than it is!
Almost finished with my first full week of HSing Austin! This week has gone much smoother than the first 2 days... we are typically ending at about 1:30 this week & remember he's in 8th grade so to end at 1:30 is GREAT! It is taking about 5.5 hours & that includes lunch & breaks! Oh and he does have to do homework most nights... not much but some!
