My husband and I have been trying to conceive our 2nd child for 24 months now. I am on 100mg of clomid and doing the artificial insemination. My progesterone level was checked at 5dpo and it was only 6. Does this mean that I am not pregnant?

Hello & I can't say that you are absolutely not pg b/c miracles do happen but according to my dr, it's a very low progesterone number so my thoughts are probably not. Your progesterone sounds like mine before I started Clomid myself. I was at 6.5 so they prescribed Clomid & kept upping the dose till I was above a 12. I started at 50 mg & was upped to 100, which was apparently the key dose for me. I would assume they'll up your dose & try again. Also, I do know someone who got pg & had a healthy beautiful baby with her progesterone at 8 so it is possible!

Thank you for replying to my message. I was on 50mg clomid for one month, level 8, then on 100mg of clomid for 2 months, level at 10 or above. Then took 2 months off and then on 100mg clomid for three months, levels at 10 or above. Then I took one month off and then went to a fertility specialist who has me on 100mg clomid, trigger shot and iui. Months one and two mu husband was unable to produce so we did not get the iui. Month one my level was 15. Now month three my husband was able to produce, my follicle was at 28 on day 12 trigger shot that night, iui day 14 and level checked on day 19. When it came back 6 I did not understand since all of the other months were high and I was very disappointed. I had a lot of cramping from 2dpo - 5 dpo and now my breasts are very sore. I am not to start my af until 8/31. When I do start my doctor said that they will up my doasge again to 150.

Hey! I see this post is a few weeks old but thought I'd post this link I was given somewhere before.
Hormone Levels & Fertility Bloodwork - Fertility Plus

Basically 6 IS low but not impossible for pregnancy but it is impossible to indicate pregnancy even if much higher at 5dpo. Even at 7dpo it can take an egg much longer to implant and progesterone to rise.

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!
