Okay,
so I got my first positive OPK on the 14th and I have tested like every day since then. Always in between 11am and 2pm. How long does it take for the positive to go to a negative since I have gotten a positive since then every single time? Also, how do I know for sure the day that I o'd? I think I have my bases covered since we dtd the 13th (day before I got a pos opk) 14th (couldnt the 15th cuz I had to work a double) the 16th and today. When do I stop BDing? Also, when the test goes back to negative, does that mean that I am done oing? Also, when does the cramping go away. It isnt as bad as before but its still there off and on. Sorry girls, but you guys are the experts!
Thanks

IDK how long it takes to go back -... the first + day is your + OPK. I have always stopped taking OPKs after that. You really need to chart to confirm when your O date is but you should O anywhere between 12 - 36 hours AFTER your + OPK, which in your case was on the 14th. So you've probably already Oed. Really though to confirm O, your temps rise. Check out Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler for all the details on charting.

The 2 MOST fertile days are the day of your + OPK & the day after so sounds like you are probably covered to me so I'd stop if you haven't already. But like I said to really confirm it chart & when you get 3 days of a temp rise you KNOW you Oed & that's when I stop.

I don't have cramping anymore myself... if you are still actively cramping maybe you didn't O after all but it could be that you're not cramping at all & maybe the cyst has formed & it is just tender when you move a certain way or whatnot... I know that is the case for me anyway.

Yep Ditto! I love opks- Don't get me wrong, but they go hand in hand with temping. When your temp goes up, then you will know you o'd the day before. With mine.. for the last 4 cycles (except this one cause I ran out of opks) I usually get two positives and a temp rise on the second day of positives. So it could just be high enough that you are getting positives, but O'd a while back. it's hard to say without having a chart to look at.

I have to agree with the other ladies. I also usually stop testing once I get a positive OPK, but I use them hand in hand with charting. The book Amanda recommended is an amazing one, and I recommend it to EVERYONE who is TTC.

Are you sure that they're positive? In order to be positive the test line has to be as dark as, or darker than, the control line. There can be two lines your entire cycle, but they're still negative unless that test line is just as dark or darker than the control line.

Keep an eye on your OPKs if they are genuinely positive. If they remain positive too long then you should have your hormone levels tested because something is probably affecting them. Also, I have had 4 days of positive OPKs in a row and O'd on the third day. They let you know that it's pending, but a thermal shift is your best confirmation.
