It might be a bit of a challenge since we are a smaller board, but lets see if we can get 2010 posts in this topic before New Years Day! We'll just use this as a chat thread and post anything and everything in it. Just keep posting!
I haven't been around much today because I have a very sick kiddo at home! Sierra very likely has H1N1. She was exposed to it. She woke up today with sniffles and congestion. I kept her and Will both home as a precaution, and she quickly went downhill. Her temp spiked to nearly 104 before noon, and we've been fighting that all day. She's weak and nauseated and just feeling very icky overall. We have a doctors appointment tomorrow for testing. It's a new doctor though because her normal doctor completely blew me off this morning. GRRRR!
Anyway...if I am MIA a bit, that's why. How is everyone else doing?

Been a bad week for me - trying to gear myself up for this cycle but I am not doing so well with it. I highly suspect I will be spotting again in a few weeks followed by AF and more spotting.

Hey Girls, its been snowing here in CO all day. Kinda nice, it was upper 70's yesterday and snow today, tomorrow its suppose to be in the mid 50's.
I woke up this morning feeling rather yucky with stomach ache and joint pain. The stomach thing is ok now but the joint pain is still lingering.
Right now our satelite is out because there is snow on the dish and its too high to reach.
Tomorrow will be a nice quiet day and Fri. I head to my parents house. Its my 10yr olds shopping weekend. The girls do it every year for their birthday.
Anyway wanted to add to the 2010! LOL

We already had a tiny bit of snow here. Not my idea of fun at all. It's supposed to be near 80 today. All this bounciness has us all coming down sick. Hopefully it'll keep warm until after Halloween though. DD is really looking forward to trick-or-treating and I'm really looking forward to an excuse to buy mass quantities of chocolate.

LOL I hate to tell ya this Stephanie, but your in the wrong part of the country for this to be too much of a bad word! HA HA
It was a nice snow, only stuck to the grass.
Honestly I love it, always have. I have a dream that I want to buy a bed and breakfast in the mountains and live there. I would love to get out of the city in the the natural beauty of the mountains. I guess the biggest drawback is that they get about 50% more snow up there then we do down here.
I remember one year dh and I went and stayed at our fav. place up in a town we love. We always get the same room and it has a hot tub with a window that is right against a cliff. It was nov. if I remember right and we were in the hot tub but it was so hot so we opened the window, it was snowing and coming in the room. It was so romantic. Makes me wish we had the money to get back up there now.
Have a great day ladies!!

The kinda snow that just sticks to the grass is the only kind i like.. i loved snow as a kid.. b/c it would get us out of school.. lol.. but now.. people just can not drive here when its snows..we just dont have the stuff u guys do to clear the roads and such..
ne ways.. the idea of having a bed and breakfast would be awesome.. i know James would love to live in the moutains.. but we wouldnt have a bed and breakfast tho.. however.. i love to visit the mountains this time of year.. when the leaves are all beautiful colors of fall

I hate the snow we get here. It's like they just have no clue what to do with it. The way they treat the roads it actually makes them worse and yet they never shut anything down. Last year I would take DD to school and literally slide a good chunk of the way on their "safe" roads. It was ridiculous!
Ya'll can have the snow, I don't want it. Give me sun and sand!

I actually don't mind the snow that much.....it's driving in it! More specifically, it's driving in it while the other idiots are driving in it!
I grew up in the mountains in West Virginia and we used to get lots of snow there too. We were right in the middle of a snow belt so we got more than some other areas did.

I think West Virgina is very beautiful.. we drove threw there on our way to Kentucky.. back in June..I had my camera out takin a lot of photos from the car hehehe.. a lot of farm land too.. and cows and horses
another thing i wanted to add.. is i had to drive a 5 hour drive from Wilmington NC to Charlotte NC.. we had to go on the back roads.. I had to drive.. and I didn't like it one bit.. even driving slow and being careful I was still scared.. I didn't enjoy it at all.. but on the other hand i'm proud of myself for doing it.. and made it threw

Matt was HORRIFIED when he came to WV to visit me. It was January and snowing and he literally would lay the seat all the way back so he couldn't see anything the whole time we were driving. He didn't want to go anywhere....just stay at the hotel and out of the snow. It wasn't even sticking to the ground yet! lol
I just got back from the doctors office with Sierra. Under normal conditions they would have given her Tamiflu. I guess (if you have listened to the news you have heard this) there is a shortage.....particularly of the liquid Tamiflu which is what kids have to take. Because of that there are restrictions on who can be prescribed the meds. I am supposed to just keep her home, push the fluids, and let this run it's course. I am going to spend most of the day quarantined in the bedroom away from sick people. Hopefully I can keep from getting it!

Good Luck not catching it. From what I hear, I would rather deal with the illness than take Tamiflu - apparently the side effects are as bad as the flu.

That is part of why they aren't prescribing it for the less severe cases too. I am so sick of staring at my bedroom walls! I have tv, and my computer and music and books, but I am going stir-crazy. Any other time I would love to be able to disappear to the bedroom for some me time but I guess because I have to be here now.... It's making me crazy! lol
I just don't want to risk catching this....especially if there is still a chance I could be pregnant!
