Testing again Saturday since I refuse to believe I'm out.
Update:
Well, dr called & my progesterone is low... 8.4 so I doubt I am pg this cycle so... not testing Saturday. We're upping my clomid to 150 mg & trying again next cycle. *sigh*

I'm sorry about the low progesterone. I hope that the increase in Clomid helps. Maybe add progesterone too. Might be something you want to talk to your doctor about. I am going to be talking to my RE about it when I go back next time, but I am going to be even more insistent this time.

HI! Back from hols and just catching up but its just too hard not to start reading topics even though I got TONNES to do!
Anyhoo, yes, def talk about progesterone supplements to your doc. Just using it last cycle seems to have boosted me THIS cycle as I seem to have ovulated an amazing CD13 (instead of 19)...just gonna post about it in a mo!
Also....hoping its still a BFP (prog levels don't mean nothing this early)...but if it is a BFN for sure don't be disheartened. Even normal healthy couples get BFN's. As we ALL know here, doing-the-deed doesn't gurantee an egg gets fertilised. Its not a case of you needing more Clomid (though it won't harm) just that you still need to wait. I know it must be very disheartening after being so positive. I've had cycles like that and I think they are worse than cycles when you don't get your hopes up....sorry hun.

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

Why are they just upping your clomid and not giving you progesterone? Have you had your progesterone checked on a non-clomid cycle? When are you having your blood taken - you should have it drawn on 7dpo not necessarily CD 21 - not everyone's cycles line up correctly to where 7dpo and CD 21 are the same day.
Personally, my progesterone didn't change much at all between a 50mg and a 100mg clomid cycle so I don't know if I would put stock into it changing yours so much to be helpful. 8.4 is a really low number for what I have been told is normal/expected for you to be pregnant. My doctor wanted me to have at least a 25 on a 50 mg clomid cycle and I had 30. On a 100mg clomid cycle my number was 30.1.
Good Luck in this next cycle!

Lets see, my first progesterone draw, no meds, was 6.5 so I was given 50 mg Clomid. Did 50 mg for 2 cycles & nothing so it was upped to 100 mg & the FIRST cycle of 100 mg I got pg (progesterone was 17 ) but unfortunately m/c so after the m/c we did 100 again & as you know 8.4 so we're upping it to 150 this time.
For whatever reason, he checks progesterone on CD 23 no matter when you O & I typically O on CD 14, it was CD 15 last cycle though. Oh & this is my OB, not an RE so that may have something to do with it too. I'm really hoping I don't have to go to an RE b/c I worry about the cost but I think that if 150 doesn't work he'll be referring me to an RE soon! I honestly don't know when he'll refer me but I just have this feeling it will be soon, kwim?
The added progesterone supplementation... when I got pg last time we immediately checked my progesterone & it looked GREAT so I didn't need it at that time. We made it till at least 8 wks b/c at my first u/s the baby had a nice strong HB. Somewhere between there & 11 wks though something went wrong, IDK.
My progesterone really seems to fluctuate with or without Clomid to the point that you just can't tell what my ovary (I only have 1 left) is going to do on a given cycle! I'm defective! For example:
1st cycle, no meds, 6.5
2nd cycle, 50 mg Clomid, 13.5 (but I Oed late this cycle (CD 17) so I have a feeling this is a falsely high number)
3rd cycle, 100 mg Clomid, 17 & got pg!
4th cycle, 100 mg Clomid, 8.4
5th cycle, 150 mg Clomid, we shall see

mine is with my OB too - we will be moving on to an RE soon as well. Good Luck - I hope the 150 works for you. My OB won't up me that much - It took months of nagging for me to get him to up it to 100. Sorry if I was pushy or nosey.

I might have said this before but from 10-12wks your body switches from making progesterone to the placenta making it which is why its the trickiest moment for the foetus and why its said you are 'safer' from miscarriage once you reach 12wks (3mths) pregs.
Even if, next time, your progesterone is looking good I would get a low dose progesterone from 8wks to 12wks. I know its hard when your asking for something the doc doesn't believe in. At the very least get yourself a pot of Progesterone cream which is lower than doc prescibed meds but might just give you that boost to see you through safely.
