Are they old enough to know that your trying for a baby, if so are they happy, are they worried, are they not wanting a sibling?

They all know, and they are all excited, but realistic because I have had so many losses they are prepared.

My daughter is almost 7. She knows, and has known since we started TTC 3 years ago. She really wants a little brother or sister...she's an only child and gets lonely sometimes.

Austin is 13 & knows & is excited. He wants a brother! I want him to have a sister! He's been asking his Sunday School group at church to pray for us. He's just so sweet! He obviously really wants us to have a baby. Of course he knows we've been trying like forever!

We don't really talk to them about it. My oldest likes to point out her brother needs a baby brother though.

AJ just turned three a couple months ago and he has known for at least 6 months, but we have been trying to prepare him a lot longer than that (specially since we got pregnant for him without trying and we thought it would happen fairly quickly and we are on our 23 cycle). He very badly wants a brother or sister - his requests change daily, though for a long time he wanted a sister. All of his friends have siblings and we see them weekly.
AJ takes his baby (we got a baby at the $ store cause he was playing with a friends) and puts it under my shirt and says there is a baby in my tummy.

They know. They are excited, but they also know about my losses, so they are worried that it will happen again too.

Awww, cute! And similar here. Dakota is also 3yrs old and has wanted a sister for a long time but she also wants a brother now. She doesn't fully understand what that means (I am not entirely sure she'd like sharing attention!) but we've told her that mummy and daddy need to make a baby and are trying to but its not working so far. She knows that I have an 'eggie' in my tummy that will grow into a baby and so she asks me sometimes 'is there a baby in your tummy?' and 'is there an eggie in your tummy'. She also knows that when I get my AF it means there isn't a baby and that mummy is a bit sad and she strokes me and says 'poor mummy' and is extra nice to me for a day or two.

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

DD wants a sibling so bad. She told me the other day that she wants a brother. We haven't told her that we are actively trying, just because I don't really want to get specific with her. Knowing her she would ask for details

We started TTC#2 when Nolan was a newborn, so he thankfully will likely never know how much we went through to get him a sibling, or two I don't know if I'll ever tell him about the loss before him, or about our attempt at IVF, maybe when he's an adult, if its appropriately required.

My youngest daughter told me that she was praying for Mommy to have twin sisters, then after this last miscarriage she said, Mommy I changed my prayer, I just asked for a healthy baby and I don't want to be selfish about if its a boy or a girl or twins.
